WHO ARE WE?
The St. Lawrence Society was founded on October 16, 1923 as a fellowship of local Italian families for the "mutual benefit" of its members. Since then, "The Club" has evolved and diversified and extends the compassion with which the society was founded into the larger community. Today, St. Lawrence Society hosts concerts, family nights, an annual golf tournament, wine dinners, and a variety of other events to bring the community together. As a non-profit organization, the society returns its proceeds to the community through its collaboration with Greenwich Senior Center, Kids in Crisis, and Lustgarten Foundation among other local charities. It is in this vein that we honor our founding fathers for their courageous efforts, landing on American soil with the hopes of a better way of life for themselves and future generations. |
